10 (More) Facts About Me

Welcome back!!! So I asked YOU to decide what I should make my next Blog Post about. Everyone chose “10 Facts About Me”

So then I thought it would be a good idea to let you all decide what you wanted to know about me. I love the questions that were asked!!! I’ll have to do this again in the future! So here goes…. enjoy!

1. My Favorite Place To Visit?

This is really tricky. I could answer this in many ways. But I’m going to go with what FIRST came to mind. Indiana! I have a ton of family there and whenever I go to visit I just feel like I’m home! I’ll actually be going there soon, so keep an eye out for that Post!!

Oh and the next runner up is DISNEY!!

2. Favorite Make Up Products?

Ive always wanted to learn how to apply makeup right and also tips and tricks on how to get really creative. I think it’s fascinating how some people do their makeup. I have a couple Make Up products that I just LOVE.

“Too-Faced Better Than Sex Mascara” I’ve had people ask me if I have False Eyelashes on because they make my eyelashes so full!

“Cover FX” Honestly I love all their products! But this Setting Powder is AMAZING. I have naturally oily skin so after I apply my foundation, I put this on. It helps control my oil and also a little goes a LONG way!

Cicapir’s Tiger Grass Color Correcting

I have redness from previous acne and really just sensitive skin. I use to NEVER go out in public without having foundation on. But if I’m not in a breakout, I can just put this on and that’s it! This has really helped the redness clear up. I’ll always have this on hand!

( All three of these products you can find at Sephora or Ulta!)

3. Favorite supplement?

Alright so something I haven’t talked about too much yet (but I will) is a disease that I have. It’s called Gastoparesis which is paralysis of the stomach. It’s VERY hard to eat certain food and really each time I eat it’s like Russian Roulette. Sometimes I am unable to eat a meal so I have to have a supplement. Having this illness creates a lot of trips to the ER! Also my body isn’t able to absorb nutrients as easily so with this supplement I am able to!

I would honestly be SO lost without this! I always ALWAYS have some on hand. This has literally saved me in many ways and it’s delicious!

4. What Motivates Me Each Day?

I had to think about this. It’s just a loaded question. Honestly my past. I know we shouldn’t live in the past, but I have been through SO MUCH that it helps me stay focused on the NOW and appreciate my life NOW. I hope that makes sense. I have come such a long way (I’ll go more into detail in a later post) that I just use that to keep me going.

5. Favorite Personal Trainer?

I follow Kayla Itsines. I have her book and I also follow her app called SWEAT. This program kicks your behind but it works. All her recipes in her books are DELICIOUS. I’ll be honest though, I haven’t worked out in awhile but I’m going to be starting that back up VERY soon. (Stay tuned!) The whole SWEAT community is AMAZING. They help me to keep going.

6. One Thing People Would Be Surprised To Know About Me?

Again a loaded question! I have a very interesting story for my life. One of the things people would be surprised to know is that 11 years ago, I fractured two of my bottom vertebrae’s in my back. I fell in the shower and had to do about 7 months of Physical Therapy. Wasn’t fun and I still feel the effects of it today.

7. Favorite Childhood Memory?

I’m a Grandma’s Girl. To the T. All my memories with her are my favorite. But this one takes the cake. One year it was around Valentine’s Day. I made my box for school and was so excited for the candy and valentines but I got VERY sick with Strep throat and had to miss out. I remember laying there watching a movie and she knocked on my bedroom door and I looked over and she had one of those GALLON sized ziplock bags in her hand FILLED with candy for me. Anything you can think of was in that bag. Even hard candy to help my throat. She didn’t want me to miss out. To this day, that’s been my FAVORITE Valentine’s Day!

8. Favorite Song At The Moment?

This question got me GOOD. I’m a song person. I’m constantly listening to music. I always relate things to songs. So this is so so hard to answer! But I’d have to say:

I love ALL the song from this movie. This movie is one of my favorites now but this song just makes me feel good and makes me get up and dance!

9. Favorite Travel Destination & Why?

So I haven’t been the one to travel a lot. And if I do it’s close to home. As I have gotten older I’ve been CRAVING to travel. So I’ve promised myself that I’ll do just that. But my favorite place to travel to would be Egypt and France. I love learning about Egypt and especially Ancient Egypt. I am French and want to be able to go and experience my culture.

10. What Celebrity Do I Admire?

Lucille Ball. I love watching I Love Lucy. Years ago when I went into a deep depression I started watching the show. Little did I know that it would change my entire life. I felt instantly connected to her and that I could relate to her on different levels. This show has really saved me and the more I’ve learned about Lucille Ball the more I just admire her. Interesting Fact:

I’m actually related to her!!

I hope you all have enjoyed learning about me a little more. If you are still curious I have another Blog Post “50 Facts About Me” where you can go and find out more!

10 Quotes To Keep Going

Welcome back Loves!! So, I’ve always been the type of person who just absolutely LOVES quotes! I could spend hours looking them up. And thanks to Pinterest, that has happened on many occasions. I often find myself connecting with quotes because I simply can not find the right words to explain how I feel sometimes. Don’t you just hate that? You really want to express how you feel, but the words just won’t come out?

• With struggling with Depression and especially Anxiety, I would constantly be looking up quotes to help me keep going. Family and Friends would give me advice or encouraging words, but I would always find myself looking up Motivational Quotes or Strength and Faith Quotes and it would really really help me.

So down below, I am going to share with you all 10 of my favorite quotes that has helped me to keep going. I hope that whoever is reading this will be able to use these as daily reminders when things get though. Because trust me they will, but you CAN and WILL get through it.

10. This is so true. Just the littlest step can lead you in the direction towards something greater. 9. Even if you don’t believe in God, Life will always work it’s self out. You just have to HOLD ON and you will see everything fall into place.

8. Sometimes when things are just NOT working in our favor, we need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Sometimes we are the ones who need to make the change for things to get better.

7. Now this one is a GOOD one. We can not and I repeat can not let our troubles break us. No matter how hard it gets, you have to remember life still goes on so things will change. Don’t let these troubles define you. Stay strong.

6. This quote here I’ve had for YEARS. It’s really all about just making small changes and really everything will fall into place.

5. Oh yes, be gentle with yourself! I would often beat myself up because I would feel like I was losing control of everything. Just be gentle with yourself, you really are doing the BEST you can.

4. Yes. Be Your Own Kind Of Beautiful. I always thought I had to change who I was because of some struggles I had to go through. But those struggles are apart of me. Apart of MY story. They made me WHO I am. So, I’m my own kind of beautiful.

3. Storms really don’t last forever. If you told me this years ago, I’d laugh. I would tell you “Yeah right, things will NEVER get better”. Guess what? They DO.

2. I don’t think anyone is ever really “broken”. So even when you feel broken, just remember “You grow through what you go through”. So no matter what, you can still light up the world.

1. YOU ARE ENOUGH. No matter what happens. No matter what life throws at you, you are enough. There is no one else on this earth like YOU. The world NEEDS you. Please always remember YOU are enough!

Movie

#12 “Indiana Jones”

I’m not sure if this is cheating, But I love ALL these movies. This one however I find funny with Sean Connery. I love these movies because of the adventure behind them but also the history. I could watch these movies over and over. These movies really suck you in and make you feel like you are on an adventure with them. And of course give you a few good laughs when you get in tough situations haha. But Indiana Jones ALWAYS gets out of those!!! movie8.jpg

# 11 “Night At The Museum”

I guess I’m going to cheat again because I love ALL of these movies also. I think it’s safe to say I do like movies that cover some history. I love the idea of this movie. Its very unique. Creative. That’s the word I’m thinking of. I just love it and I feel like the world could learn from this movie. In this movie there is all walks of life but they have to come TOGETHER to fight off the evil. The unity. Its something the world needs right now.Other than that, it’s funny. And who doesn’t love Robin Williams?

#10 “The Grinch”

The The The Grinchhhhh!! Sorry I had to. If you’ve seen this movie then you would understand. This is actually a Family favorite of ours. My family will quote this movie year round. Not only does it give a special message, but its so funny! Jim Carrey does such a GREAT job at being the Grinch. They could NEVER remake this movie to be just as good as this one!! And honestly I could probably watch this at any point in the year. Its just that good!

#9 “Hocus Pocus”

This movie has a special place in my heart. It’s another Family favorite. My Grandma and Aunt had this movies recorded on VHS. And every Halloween us girls would “sneak” the movie home to our house. Eventually we realized that our Grandma and Aunt knew we would take it off the shelve. But we would continue to “sneak” it. When we were younger we always talked about making sure OUR children would watch it to keep the tradition going every fall season. Years later and that tradition keeps going. I just can’t wait to share that with my kids when that time comes.

#8 “Robin Hood Men In Tights”

Well, another Family favorite. This movie will NEVER get old. I could watch this over and over if I had to. It’s just so hilarious. I LOVE Mel Brook’s version. I also love that he makes appearances in all of his movies. Watching this movie, I can quote it word for word. If you ever need a GOOD laugh this is one to watch!!  movie4

#7 “Twister”

Anyone who REALLY knows ME, knows this is one of my ALL time favs!!! I could also quote this movie word for word. Interesting fact: When the tornados in the movie was doing its thang, they actually used CAMELS to make the noise. How cool is that?! I always thought that it was really cool. I think its super cool to be a storm chaser. Would I do it? ABSOULELTY!!!  IF I was promised I would be ok!! HAHA. Also, Robin Hood makes a appearance in this movie! 😉  twister

#6  “The Mummy”

Now again, if anyone TRULY knows me, they know I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!! I love all of them really, but this one is my fav! I love learning about Ancient Egypt ( I know I know again with the history) But this makes me feel like I’m there. I have read and I own easily 30+ books on Ancient Egypt and I love seeing the Mythology come to play in this movie.

#5 “Inside Out”

So normally it takes ALOT for movies to make me emotional. This one got me. Especially with Bing Bong. With being someone who battles with depression, this movie for ME helped explain what it can be like in my head sometimes. All these emotions running at ONCE and feeling all sorts of things. And I love the message it shares about how you can’t have Joy without Sadness and vise versa.  If you have never seen this, I suggest you go and watch it! Oh and grab a box of tissues!movie5

#4  “Meet The Robinsons”

“Keep moving forward” Is the BEST line out of the whole movie. I saw this movie at a tough time in my life. And yes this one made me cry to. I was at a time in my life where I didn’t feel like I belonged and I was afraid of what the future would hold. I could relate to the main character so well. He didn’t feel like he belong and he felt like his dreams would never come true. He was taught to “Keep moving forward” because you never know what the future will bring and that you never know WHO is placed in your life to help you get through it. movieee

#3 “Down Periscope”

If you haven’t seen this movie, you are MISSING OUT! This movie is HILAROUS. It’s another movie I can quote literally word for word. It’s my Dad’s and I’s favorite movie we always enjoy to watch together. This movie makes me laugh so hard. I remember almost 10 years ago now, I had my appendix removed. I decided to watch this movie to cheer me up. WRONG IDEA! I had to get my mom to turn it off so I wouldn’t pop any stiches or staples. Its just super funny. Go watch it!

#2 “Coco”

Where do I start? I’m very much a family person. Family will always come first. This movie really expressed the importance of family. I honestly didn’t want to see this movie. But I figured I’d give it a try. And I’m FOREVER glad I did. It made me think about my family members who have passed and gone on before me. Made me think of family members who I grew up loving and was close to who have passed away. Honestly just thinking about this movie right NOW is making me get choked up. I CAN’T wait for the day I get to be reunited with my ancestors. movie10.jpg

#1 “The Greatest Showman”

So as 2017 was coming to a end, I was SO excited for what 2018 was going to bring. I was finally able to put some things in my life in the PAST and I was actually going into a NEW year really truly happy. On New Year’s day I ended up going to see this movie (Because Jumanji was sold out) with my Dad. Now I’m going to get really raw here. Before the movie started, I said a prayer in my mind that this movie would help me with going into 2018. That I would be inspired by this movie, and that if there was something I NEEDED to learn from this movie that I would feel it in my heart. I felt like this WHOLE movie was a answered prayer. However when the song “This Is Me” played, I knew my Heavenly Father REALLY answered my prayer. I KNEW this movie was going to play a huge role in my life. And sure enough it has. Its not ironic that I saw this movie on NEW  YEAR’S DAY. I truly feel like it was all meant to be. In fact the moment I walked out of the theater, I downloaded the soundtrack on my Spotify. I ended up seeing this movie 3 times in theater. I’ve NEVER done that before but I’m so glad I did. I promise I’m not just on the bandwagon with this movie. Just like how “Meet The Robinsons” changed my life, this movie has now done the same. It has also showed me how far I’ve come. To the point of where I didn’t feel like I belonged and having such a hard time moving forward. To where I am NOW. To where I’m happy and FINALLY chasing my dreams.movie9
