So I created a post on Facebook letting YOU decide what my next post would be. “Favorite Movie”s won, So listed below are my TOP 13 FAVORITE MOVIES!!! I’m very much a movie person, so there are a TON that I love. But these take the cake!
#13 “The Other Boleyn Girl“
There is just something about this movie that I really love. I’m just sure if its the history behind it or what but I love this movie. If you haven’t seen this movie ever, Id watch it and see what you think. (I’ve actually watched this back to back before hehe)
#12 “Indiana Jones”
I’m not sure if this is cheating, But I love ALL these movies. This one however I find funny with Sean Connery. I love these movies because of the adventure behind them but also the history. I could watch these movies over and over. These movies really suck you in and make you feel like you are on an adventure with them. And of course give you a few good laughs when you get in tough situations haha. But Indiana Jones ALWAYS gets out of those!!!
# 11 “Night At The Museum”
I guess I’m going to cheat again because I love ALL of these movies also. I think it’s safe to say I do like movies that cover some history. I love the idea of this movie. Its very unique. Creative. That’s the word I’m thinking of. I just love it and I feel like the world could learn from this movie. In this movie there is all walks of life but they have to come TOGETHER to fight off the evil. The unity. Its something the world needs right now.Other than that, it’s funny. And who doesn’t love Robin Williams?
#10 “The Grinch”
The The The Grinchhhhh!! Sorry I had to. If you’ve seen this movie then you would understand. This is actually a Family favorite of ours. My family will quote this movie year round. Not only does it give a special message, but its so funny! Jim Carrey does such a GREAT job at being the Grinch. They could NEVER remake this movie to be just as good as this one!! And honestly I could probably watch this at any point in the year. Its just that good!
#9 “Hocus Pocus”
This movie has a special place in my heart. It’s another Family favorite. My Grandma and Aunt had this movies recorded on VHS. And every Halloween us girls would “sneak” the movie home to our house. Eventually we realized that our Grandma and Aunt knew we would take it off the shelve. But we would continue to “sneak” it. When we were younger we always talked about making sure OUR children would watch it to keep the tradition going every fall season. Years later and that tradition keeps going. I just can’t wait to share that with my kids when that time comes.
#8 “Robin Hood Men In Tights”
Well, another Family favorite. This movie will NEVER get old. I could watch this over and over if I had to. It’s just so hilarious. I LOVE Mel Brook’s version. I also love that he makes appearances in all of his movies. Watching this movie, I can quote it word for word. If you ever need a GOOD laugh this is one to watch!!
Anyone who REALLY knows ME, knows this is one of my ALL time favs!!! I could also quote this movie word for word. Interesting fact: When the tornados in the movie was doing its thang, they actually used CAMELS to make the noise. How cool is that?! I always thought that it was really cool. I think its super cool to be a storm chaser. Would I do it? ABSOULELTY!!! IF I was promised I would be ok!! HAHA. Also, Robin Hood makes a appearance in this movie! 😉
#6 “The Mummy”
Now again, if anyone TRULY knows me, they know I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!! I love all of them really, but this one is my fav! I love learning about Ancient Egypt ( I know I know again with the history) But this makes me feel like I’m there. I have read and I own easily 30+ books on Ancient Egypt and I love seeing the Mythology come to play in this movie.
#5 “Inside Out”
So normally it takes ALOT for movies to make me emotional. This one got me. Especially with Bing Bong. With being someone who battles with depression, this movie for ME helped explain what it can be like in my head sometimes. All these emotions running at ONCE and feeling all sorts of things. And I love the message it shares about how you can’t have Joy without Sadness and vise versa. If you have never seen this, I suggest you go and watch it! Oh and grab a box of tissues!
#4 “Meet The Robinsons”
“Keep moving forward” Is the BEST line out of the whole movie. I saw this movie at a tough time in my life. And yes this one made me cry to. I was at a time in my life where I didn’t feel like I belonged and I was afraid of what the future would hold. I could relate to the main character so well. He didn’t feel like he belong and he felt like his dreams would never come true. He was taught to “Keep moving forward” because you never know what the future will bring and that you never know WHO is placed in your life to help you get through it.
#3 “Down Periscope”
If you haven’t seen this movie, you are MISSING OUT! This movie is HILAROUS. It’s another movie I can quote literally word for word. It’s my Dad’s and I’s favorite movie we always enjoy to watch together. This movie makes me laugh so hard. I remember almost 10 years ago now, I had my appendix removed. I decided to watch this movie to cheer me up. WRONG IDEA! I had to get my mom to turn it off so I wouldn’t pop any stiches or staples. Its just super funny. Go watch it!
Where do I start? I’m very much a family person. Family will always come first. This movie really expressed the importance of family. I honestly didn’t want to see this movie. But I figured I’d give it a try. And I’m FOREVER glad I did. It made me think about my family members who have passed and gone on before me. Made me think of family members who I grew up loving and was close to who have passed away. Honestly just thinking about this movie right NOW is making me get choked up. I CAN’T wait for the day I get to be reunited with my ancestors.
#1 “The Greatest Showman”
So as 2017 was coming to a end, I was SO excited for what 2018 was going to bring. I was finally able to put some things in my life in the PAST and I was actually going into a NEW year really truly happy. On New Year’s day I ended up going to see this movie (Because Jumanji was sold out) with my Dad. Now I’m going to get really raw here. Before the movie started, I said a prayer in my mind that this movie would help me with going into 2018. That I would be inspired by this movie, and that if there was something I NEEDED to learn from this movie that I would feel it in my heart. I felt like this WHOLE movie was a answered prayer. However when the song “This Is Me” played, I knew my Heavenly Father REALLY answered my prayer. I KNEW this movie was going to play a huge role in my life. And sure enough it has. Its not ironic that I saw this movie on NEW YEAR’S DAY. I truly feel like it was all meant to be. In fact the moment I walked out of the theater, I downloaded the soundtrack on my Spotify. I ended up seeing this movie 3 times in theater. I’ve NEVER done that before but I’m so glad I did. I promise I’m not just on the bandwagon with this movie. Just like how “Meet The Robinsons” changed my life, this movie has now done the same. It has also showed me how far I’ve come. To the point of where I didn’t feel like I belonged and having such a hard time moving forward. To where I am NOW. To where I’m happy and FINALLY chasing my dreams.
